I am an account supervisor and
firm editor for student-run PR agency, Allen Hall Public Relations. AHPR hires
nonprofit clients in the greater Eugene area and serves as a networking
opportunity for PR majors at the University of Oregon. This year, I am working with
The American Public Works Association and completing writing-intensive projects
and award applications for the organization. Additionally, I edit the entire
firm’s content for grammar, AP Style and sentence structure.
A native of Southern California,
I am inspired by surf culture and fashion. I was a public relations intern for
Quiksilver, an apparel company that designs products for surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and the surrounding lifestyle. Through this opportunity, I
learned to monitor media coverage and gained a strong understanding for the
action sports industry. I worked with the PR team and other interns to format
media clippings, organize samples and distribute press kits.
I have an active presence on
social media and an interest in technological innovation. I strive to work
for a company that markets itself by focusing on the hobbies and activities of
its audience in addition to the product that it creates.
